Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) will once again be seen leading his team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2022). CSK recently retained four cricketers in their team for the 15th season of IPL (IPL 2022 Retention). Apart from Mahendra Singh Dhoni, these four players include Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali and Rituraj Gaikwad. While announcing the retained players, the team's bowling coach Laxmpati made it clear that Dhoni would be the captain of the team. Dhoni had also expressed his desire some time ago that he wants to play his last T20 match at Chepauk.
Where Chennai Super Kings has retained four players by the team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. On the other hand, the current IPL champion has had to break ties with old and household names. From Dwayne Bravo to Sam Karen and from Suresh Raina to Ambati Rayudu, many old players have been sent back to the auction pool by CSK. 2. Abhinav Mukund
Indian Test team's veteran opener Abhinav Mukund's grandfather passed away on Thursday. He was infected with Kovid-19. Mukund gave this information on social media.
The 31-year-old left-handed Indian opener tweeted that the virus took him away. Abhinav tweeted, 'It is with great sadness that I have to tell you all that I have lost my grandfather TK Subbarao due to Kovid-19. He was 95 years old. 3. Anirudha Srikkanth
Anirudha Srikkanth (born 14 April 1987) is an Indian former professional cricketer. He was born in Madras; his father is cricketer Kris Srikkanth. He has played for Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.
An attacking opening batsman, much like his father, Anirudha made his first-class debut in the 2003–04 season as a 16-year-old. He was in and out of the Tamil Nadu Ranji Trophy squad in the following seasons but has enjoyed greater success in the limited-overs format and topped the number of runs scored for India under-19s against the touring England under-19 side in 2004– 05.[citation needed] His record in the Twenty20 format has been impressive, finishing the fourth-highest run-scorer in the inter-state Twenty20 in 2007.
4. Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan
Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan (born 3 December 1981) is an Indian cricketer. He is the son of cricketer Venkatraman Sivaramakrishnan (left hand batsman who represented Tamil Nadu) and nephew of Venkatraman Ramnarayan (Who was an editor of Sruti magazine). Vidyut has a sibling, Nikhil. Vidyut is married to Sharanya Vidyut and has 2 kids and their names are Shakti and Aneesh. HE lives in Chennai, India
5. Subramaniam Badrinath
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction is expected to take place in December and the BCCI has already asked the IPL franchises to submit the list of retained players for IPL 2022 by November 30. According to several reports, the list of retained players have has been prepared by the existing eight franchises, but are yet to comment on the same in detail. As far as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are concerned, the defending champions are likely to retain skipper MS Dhoni, whose future remains uncertain with all existing eight teams being allowed to retain a maximum of four players ahead of the next season.
Amidst all the talk, former India and CSK batter S Badrinath has named the four players the four-time IPL champions should retain ahead of the mega auction next month.
