A code found in the latest WhatsApp 2.21.23.10 beta version hints for Novi integration, which XDA Developers says will enable global payment transfers. The Novi service is only available in the US and Guatemala, which means the messaging service is working on adding payments for US users as well.
It is worth noting that the WhatsApp payment system is providing the service only in India and Brazil. In India, it is based on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), which allows direct bank transfers. The new discovery is supported by a WABetaInfo report that showed the integration of the Novi service. Novi is a digital wallet owned by Meta (formerly known as Facebook).
